What smspostam is
These terms apply to your use of smspostam, a service operated by PostAm Swift Networks Ltd. smspostam provides Nigerian businesses with a hosted workspace for requesting sender IDs, uploading contacts, dispatching campaigns, and viewing delivery reports. We route traffic through upstream providers (currently Termii) and pass through the carriers.
Who can use smspostam
smspostam is for registered businesses and organisations operating lawfully, primarily in Nigeria. To create and operate a workspace you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of the organisation you represent.
- Agree to the Acceptable Use Policy and the Anti-Spam Policy.
- Provide accurate business details when asked.
Acceptable use
Your use of smspostam is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy and Anti-Spam Policy. Together they list what isn't allowed — spam, purchased lists, impersonation, phishing, and specific content categories. Violating them is a breach of these Terms.
Wallet and billing
smspostam operates on a pre-paid wallet model. You top up your wallet, and we deduct per segment at send time. We do not run a subscription; there is no monthly fee.
- Minimum top-up is ₦1,000.
- Pricing is per segment and varies by route and encoding. The current rate card is on the pricing page.
- Reservations are held against your available balance when a campaign is submitted and settled against the actual spend after dispatch. Any unused reservation is released back automatically.
- Invoices are issued for every top-up and downloadable from your billing dashboard.
Sender IDs
Sender IDs are approved by the Nigerian carriers, not by us. We submit your request on your behalf and surface the carrier's decision in your dashboard. We do not guarantee that any specific sender name will be approved, and we can't override a carrier rejection. Our Sender ID Approval Guide explains what tends to get rejected and why.
Delivery
smspostam routes your traffic on the correct corridor (generic or DND-compliant) and passes it to the underlying provider, which passes it to the carrier, which attempts delivery to the handset. We surface the outcome — delivered, failed, DND-blocked, expired — as it comes back from the carrier.
We cannot guarantee delivery of any specific message. Recipient phones may be off, out of coverage, or registered on the DND list for a class we aren't routing on. We don't charge for messages the carrier blocks (DND-blocked, expired). We do charge for messages the carrier accepts, whether or not the handset ultimately acknowledges receipt.
Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend a workspace, with or without notice, if we determine that:
- The workspace has been used to violate our Acceptable Use or Anti-Spam policies.
- There is reasonable suspicion of fraud, impersonation, or phishing.
- Payment has been reversed or disputed.
- The carrier has required suspension due to the workspace's traffic.
We'll explain the reason for any suspension by email to the workspace owner. Where possible, we'll give you a chance to remedy the issue and reinstate the workspace.
Changes to pricing or features
Carrier rates change. Our costs change. Features come and go as we build. When we make a material change to the pricing or the set of features available:
- We'll post an update to our changelog and this page.
- For pricing increases, active workspace owners will receive 30 days' notice by email.
- Any unused balance at the time of a price change is credited at the prior rate for 30 days.
Termination
You can close your workspace at any time from the settings dashboard. Your data is retained according to our Privacy Policy unless you request early deletion.
We can terminate your workspace if you materially breach these Terms and the breach is not remediable, or if you remain in breach 14 days after we notify you. On termination, any remaining balance is eligible for refund under the policy above.
Liability
smspostam is provided as-is. We work hard on reliability and compliance, but we can't promise every message will land — that depends on the carriers, the recipient's phone, and factors outside our control. Our liability for any single incident is limited to the amount you've spent with us in the 30 days before the incident.
Specifically, we are not liable for messages blocked or delayed by a carrier (including DND-blocked sends, carrier outages, and international-route slowdowns), for messages rejected because of recipient handset state (phone off, out of coverage, memory full), or for downstream losses caused by a message that was sent correctly on our side but wasn't received due to any of the above.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute that can't be resolved by email to support@postamglobal.com is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll update the version and last-updated date at the top of this page and notify active workspace owners by email. Continued use of smspostam after a material change counts as acceptance.
